Loop Media Powers New Streaming Channel On XUMO

Burbank-based streaming media firm Loop Media says it has launched its first, OTT service, called The Preview Channel, on XUMO TV. According to Loop Media, The Preview Channel is a 24-hour, ad-supported video-on-demand channel which will show new film trailers and video game previews, cast and director interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from major Hollywood films. Loop Media recently announced its “short-form” streaming startup, saying it raised $10M in funding. The company was co-founded by Jon Niermann, CEO (former President, Electronic Arts Asia and Managing Director, Walt Disney International Asia); Shawn Driscoll, Head of Music Industry Relations (former Executive Producer at Legends Studios in Burbank); and Philipp Pieper (current CEO, Swarm Fund, former Founder, Proximic). Loop said the new deal with XUMO makes its content available in over 30 million homes across the country.
