The Roku Channel to Add 13 New Live Channels to Its Free Lineup

The Roku Channel announced today that it will bring 13 new channels to its live TV channel guide. The Roku Channel now has over 165 free, linear channels that streamers can watch for free with the app.The Roku Channel has over 50 million active accounts and users streamed a total of 58.7 billion hours in 2020. Roku has been steadily adding more content to the free streaming app and recently announced a deal to acquire the content from the now shut down Quibi. Quibi content includes scripted series, alternative and reality programming and documentaries featuring stars such as Idris Elba, Kevin Hart, Liam Hemsworth, Anna Kendrick, Nicole Richie, Chrissy Teigen, and Lena Waithe. Over a dozen shows produced for Quibi that never made it to the streaming service will also debut on The Roku Channel.
